Come New Year's Day, you'll be annoyed

I found something that could actually be used as the best argument against New Year's resolutions. The rationale is: if something is worth doing, it's worth getting on with it - or as the argument went:
Come New Year's Day, you'll be annoyed that you did not start already today.
So next time I'm going to promise myself that I want to get started doing something some time in the future - I'll take care of it and promise to get started right away. For future's sake, let's call it "an instant resolution".
